Hi all Fellow DeviantsWelcome to the seventh interview of a series of interviews which will be given to any (street) photographer who will have received a Daily Deviation in Street Photography category.
(Note that it won't respect the timeline of when and to who was given the DD.)
Let's keep on rollin' with these interviews of great Photographers from the DA Place!
This interview will be the one of amazing and beloved friend ZiaulKareem.
This person and impressive photographer has a very humanist and humorous vision, providing a great source of inspiration for any photographers and street photographers.
Getting to know him better is a real chance
I was born and raised in Bangladesh. I moved to Canada 25 years ago.I am working as Programmer Analyst in Health Canada. I learned the basics of photography from my uncle who lived in India. I was more on Sports than photography.I always love to walk along city streets miles after miles.I enjoy everyday life in the streets, so many different interesting characters. Few years back all of a sudden I started taking pictures of these people. That's how my Street Photography journey took off.
Would you be able to define "your" street photography, and what is your main fuel to create?
The great master of candid photography Henri Cartier Bresson said...“Above all, I craved to seize the whole essence, in the confines of one single photograph, of some situation that was in the process of unrolling itself before my eyes.”
My view of street photography relates to it's free, well liberated and completely non-uniform nature. The purpose of street photography will vary from one street photographer to another. It is probably because they all have a distinctive style and their pictures are taken with a consistent approach and technique. It is therefore, easy to recognize the pictures of great street photographers due to such distinctive style and their consistency in approach and technique. I do think that building a style and working on it is important for street photographers. There is also a large part of unconsciousness in the creation of a style.
Humanist with a touch of humor is how I would describe my street photography.Curiosity is my main fuel to create.

Souls
I learn everyday from my surroundings I live in. Sometime I watch the scenes which are unfolding before my eyes. What's more important is how I look at the world , how deep can I think. It mostly depends on my observation.
Speaking of masters of street photography, I'd say Robert Doisneau,Josef Koudelka, Daido Moriyama, just to name a few. I also learn something everyday from many photographer-friends here on DA. They are my constant source of inspiration and motivation.
I use mostly mirrorless cameras and prime lenses.I really like my Fuji X100s.
This is where I failed miserably. In other words I can say I do minimum post processing.
The love and friendship you bestowed upon me.I meet so many wonderful friends here in DA.
I admire your judgement to feature the photo as a DD.
If I had to feature one photography among my works I would pick this one.
It shows the diversity of human society, happiness and sadness.
To be better and put my heart and soul what I am doing.
I consider my self also a beginner in photography. For those who would like to begin Street photography, start looking for particularly interesting subjects and focus on the story. Don’t lose your head trying to photograph every stranger you meet. Try to separate the more interesting people.Try finding a good background for your images, look for interesting light to emphasize your subject, possibly separate him from the rest of the world around. Carry your camera everywhere and love human beings.
What is your actual project?
If time permits I would like to do a project about child labor in developing country.
"My place is the Placeless, my trace is the Traceless;
‘Tis neither body nor soul, for I belong to the soul of the Beloved." - Rumi
